This essay, delivered as a talk at a conference of the American Maritain Association, discusses common themes in the diagnoses of our times by three otherwise disparate thinkers. The essay suggests that these thinkers roughly converged in their answers to three questions: 1) Is the West in crisis? 2) What is the underlying cause of this crisis? And 3) What is the remedy (if there is one).
