Artificial Intelligence as a technology is marking its presence in key sectorsand etching its relevance more prominently with each passing second. Indus-tries are making their motor vehicles so technologically advanced where theyare able to remote themselves by their intelligence only. Hence, the Artifi-cial Intelligence in transportation is no longer a myth but what nature it isholding with itself is still unclear, although there have been several instanceswhere autonomous vehicles are involved, yet there is no clear stand of Legis-lature for these advanced vehicles. Moreover, the judiciary is also trying itsbest to deal with these advanced issues in absence of precise statutes. Hereis the strict need of precise policy and governance strategies for autonomousvehicles to make it clear what will be the punishment and who will be liablefor the offence as well as what remedies the innocent will have to mitigatethe loss. This paper aims to identify the nature and scope of AI Drivenautonomous vehicles, to explore the cases where AI Driven Vehicles has notworked properly as they suppose to and cause unintentional harm to theinnocent, to understand the legislative point of view regarding AI driven au-tonomous vehicles as well as how judiciary is dealing with the cases where AIdriven autonomous vehicle is involved. Moreover, what measures are requiredto balance the advancement of innovation and rights of the innocent.
