Anto on Laski on Pluralism

Albin Anto (National University of Advanced Legal Studies) has posted Laski's Pluralism on SSRN. Here is the abstract:

Harold Joseph Lask's Pluralism is a response to the Monistic theory advanced particularly by Austin. Pluralists envisaging a limited government, calls for a pluralistic state where there would be division or decentralization of governmental structure an individual is viewed as real and self-sufficient as the state itself. Laski's concept of pluralism spread over a catena of books, severely criticises the Monistic theory to advance the pluralistic theory. This paper first proceeds to analyse the criticisms levelled against Monism by Laski and then draws out the pluralistic theory put forth by Laski. The Paper concludes by critically evaluating the theory of Pluralism as proposed by Laski.
