Symposium in Honor of Ronald Dworkin, 2007 winner of the Holberg Prize
On Thursday, April 10 New York University School of Law and the Ludvig Holberg Memorial Fund will host a day-long symposium devoted to the work of Ronald Dworkin, to celebrate the award of the 2007 Holberg Prize.
Six distinguished legal theorists and philosophers will each present a paper relating to some aspect of Dworkin’s wide-ranging work in legal and political philosophy. Professor Dworkin will comment on the papers throughout the day and there will be ample time for general discussion.
The six speakers will be Janos Kis (Central European University and NYU), Liam Murphy (NYU), Lawrence Sager (University of Texas), Thomas M. Scanlon (Harvard), Kathleen Sullivan (Stanford), and Cass Sunstein (University of Chicago).
The event will be held in the Lester Pollack Colloquium Room, 9th floor, Furman Hall and will be open to the public. Sessions will be scheduled throughout the whole day. More details of the program will be circulated closer to the time.
