- Boston University Law: THE ROLE OF THE JUDGE IN THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY

Panel discussions will provide an overview of the evolution of the judicial role in American society and the independence of the judiciary, as well as an examination of the issues regarding the judicial role in national security, contemporary case management, the role of social science in the judicial process and the relevance of international sources of law to judicial decision-making in the United States. Judge Richard A. Posner of the United States Court of Appeals, one of America’s leading legal thinkers, will deliver the keynote address.
